There Will Always Be Stars

the dust to which we will return

By Ellie HoovsPublished about a year ago 1 min read

There will always be stars

Those silent crystalline sentinels

whose purposes are as multifaceted

as their twinkling gleam.

They guide,

They watch over,

They inspire.

We marvel at their beauty,

seemingly tiny orbs so delicately

piercing the deepest darkness,

They hide secrets in their particulate visage.

Secrets of their age

Secrets of their turbulence

Secrets of their individualities

We ache to understand,

Seeking after the wonderment they create,

Finding amongst them stories, patterns,

entire epochs etched in a world beyond.

Each glimmer a song

Each sparkle a soul

Each twinkle a memory

There will always be stars
