There’s a Hole in the Sun

Radiation penetrates our Earth

There’s a Hole in the Sun

There’s a hole in the sun,

the air grows thin beneath its burn,

The ozone frays, undone,

As the world continues to turn.

The heat presses, unforgiving,

A silent scream beneath our eyes,

The world grows weaker, still living,

But shadows stretch where hope lies.

The sun cracks, and the light spills out

Through layers once strong, now weak,

Each ray another note in a song

Of a world too tired to speak.

Beneath the ache, cancers bloom,

On bodies unprotected, worn,

Futures fading, filled with doom,

As the earth bends, bruised and torn.

There’s a hole in the sun,

And the sky, it cracks with pain,

We’ve buried truth beneath the lies,

Now it’s too late to break the chain.
