Then what would have made you stay?

A Spoken Work Poem by #Millieon

You left me.

You said baby it’s not you it’s me

Hmmm let’s see

You said I shined bright which made you feel

Dim,

You compared my strength to a tree bark and you felt like just one

LIMB

You said that building my Empire together was too much

Work

The support you have to give, no sleep, late hours made you feel like a

Jerk

Off or your hand job just got too intense

I said, don’t stop now, don’t

Mince

Your words for my benefit

Don’t beat around the bush, cuz apparently I can’t take a hint

So then he said:

You are too phenomenally exceptional, I don’t measure

Up

My cup

doesn’t overflow with greatness

I don’t think Im gonna be enough

Say whatttttt

So I said:

Do you have any idea what I have gone through?

The trials, the tribulations, the failed expectations, my lonely nations,

My self-esteems that ran out of steam,

my wrongs that never quite got right,

my steps forward that always seemed to step back,

my lack of support from the bras at the 10 dollar store,

my befores that keep catching up with me afters,

my age that factors into my destiny,

my ignorance that was always bliss,

my fake aces that turned out to be all spades,

my broken hearts that never quite healed but are just now on the mend,

MY ends that never quite caught up to the middle,

My mistakes that took on a life of their own,

my long tiresome days that run into my dark nights,

my non-rights that landed into my lefts,

However, I am still standing, the light I see now is my God-given Path, My God-Given Way,

Let me ask you a question, all of this Goodness you say I have, then what pray tell would of made you Stay?
