The Writer

The Writer and his Art

By Rebekah GlennPublished 4 years ago 1 min read

The Writer struggled alone in thought, pen in hand amidst a plight, torn mind emotion wrought, trembling for the words to write.

He gazed upon the empty page, his hand staying for a time, er in ink he penned the carnage, of the terror upon his mind.

As the thunder in the dark, words of black etched on white, blinded by the truth so stark, shaking yet he wrote his fright.

Oh, hand, what is they wondering art? the pen it has pierced his memories, the words they bled his beating heart, till silence is left; no words can ease.
