The World Sings

Time forgot me, lost in a dream,

I fell in love with songs, where hearts may gleam.

I always imagined melodies in every place,

The world would sing, the earth would embrace.

The house would hum, the walls would play,

I’d hear the songs of life all through the day.

The water calls with love for desire,

It calls to me, a flame, a fire.

"Don’t blame me," it says, "for I am a lover true,

When I sing my song, the world sings too."

The trees would sing in whispers light,

Like the sound of horses running through the night,

Or the flight of birds soaring high,

The wind would hum, don’t ask why.

It sings, it calls, as if to say,

"Here’s the music of night and day."

The mountains join, their voices sing,

A hymn of glory, praises they bring.

Their song rises to the skies,

A prayer that soars, it never dies.

And the birds fly high, greeting the dawn,

Their songs fill the air, as the day moves on.

"Don’t blame me," I say, "if I too,

Sing with the world, the sky so blue."

The lion roars, the wolf joins in,

The fox, the dog, the forest within.

They sing of life, of joy and pain,

A song of love, they sing again.

The world sings on, from earth to sky,

A universal song, that will never die.

We all sing together, in one great song,

For life, for love, where we all belong.

  • The singing of nature, we understand it through our senses, and from what we hear with our ears, the group sings by nature
