A history they say should not be.
And now it isn’t.
Love and liberty: what do they mean?
Just a memory?
Forwards, Backwards, 180 degrees.
Reorient me.
These hardened hearts, they never appease
But push their beliefs.
A tug of war giving rise to more
Until it’s full-blown.
But still, rehash the pain women bore
As if not human.
Still deny minority choices
As if meaningless.
You took our rights but not our voices
And we will not mute.
Relish this moment, this façade
Because it won’t last.
Hide behind your hatred and your rod.
We have love to share.
