The Words You’ll One Day Read

folded soft, yet meant to last.

By Gideon JamesPublished 11 months ago 1 min read

These words rest quiet, sealed in time,

folded soft, yet meant to last.

A future voice from who I am,

a whisper echoing the past.

I do not know the shape you’ll take,

the way your laughter fills a room.

But still, I write, I hope, I dream,

I plant my love for you to bloom.

One day, your hands may hold this page,

your eyes may trace each careful line.

And though the years will stretch between,

my heart will speak—still yours, still mine.

Perhaps you’ll read them in the dark,

when questions cloud your weary mind.

Or find them when you need them most,

a light the world forgot to find.

No matter where the years may lead,

no matter what you’ve lost or won,

these words will wait, untouched by time,

a love that’s here—still, always, strong.
