I still remember that day
When I saw her through the class window
She was walking with friends on the school veranda,
When her giggly bubbly smile lit up my day.
Her scarf, soft and playful,
Danced in the gentle breeze
Just like the way my heart fluttered at your glance.
Where first love felt both wild and gentle.
Now, those school days float like
Old VHS Tapes played on a VCR,
Each reel of memory
Of shy hopes and fear of talking to her
I used to talk to her a lot in my dreams day and night.
The simple magic of youth,
Etched forever in the heart
Of my past, present and future.

Very sweet and nothing like love when you are a youth
Old VHS Tapes, gosh, that feels like a lifetime ago. Nice work, J.J.!
So beautiful!
Love this!!!!! So poignant and well written! Great job!!
This feels so warm and nostalgic! The way you describe her laughter and the breeze playing with her scarf makes it feel so real. And that VHS tape comparison? Perfect—captures how memories play in our minds. Loved it! 😊
What good memories of a first love. Good job.
