An octet poem about the wind

Mr wind, please be my friend

as fickle as you are,

sometimes, you blow when we don't want,

and other times it's no.

I need your help to soar aloft

pretend that I'm a bird,

but Mr wind, please be my friend,

and blow, blow, blow.

****

I sit here on the tranquil waters

no particular place to go,

becalmed because you won't play fair,

and you refuse to blow.

So I will wait till you behave

I have no place to go,

but Mr wind, please be my friend,

and blow, blow, blow.

****

When you decide it's time to go

I guess you will let me know,

and lift me up into the sky

or fill my sails with air.

But until you decide the time is right

I'll pretend that I don't care,

but Mr wind, please be my friend,

and blow, blow, blow.

****

There we go, just fill your lungs

now we can get somewhere,

me with my kite and the boat out there,

we have the means to move.

All because you changed your tune

and started to play fair,

so Mr wind, stay my friend

and blow me from here to there.

A super job on this poem - sometimes we want wind and many times we don't. Like many things, what we want doesn't come WHEN we want, LOL.
