The White Shivers

A frosty poem

Each fractal flake is

A fluke of nature that

Falls unique upon concrete and

Freezes grass and

Flows,

Across roads

As winds pick up speed

And children build men.

My kingdom for two sticks

And a carrot.

A boy and girl

Rub chilly noses

Like the eskimoses

And grow up to exchange roses

It’s a shame I must

Take a credit card

And scrape away the magic

Just to see where I am going

The spidery fronds crawling

Across the innocent windshield,

Everywhere I look

Encased in sparkly white

Doth nature dare to melt this away

Too quickly?
