Whispers of Our Hearts
The whispers of our hearts,
Like a symphony of pain,
Echoing in the silence,
A melody so insane.
Our love story began,
On a warm summer's day,
When our eyes first met,
In the most romantic way.
I still remember,
The way our hearts beat as one,
A rhythm of love and passion,
That never could be undone.
Our love was like a dream,
So pure and so divine,
But little did we know,
That it was only a matter of time.
Time passed us by,
As it tends to do,
And life's twists and turns,
Slowly came into view.
We held onto our love,
With all the strength we had,
But the world seemed to conspire,
To make our love tasteless.
We tried to fight it,
With all that we could,
But the whispers of our hearts,
Told a different story, understood.
The whispers grew louder,
With each passing day,
Telling us that our love,
Was slowly fading away.
We tried to rekindle,
The flame that once burned so bright,
But the whispers of our hearts,
Only whispered of a bitter fight.
We held onto our love,
With all the strength we had,
But the whispers of our hearts,
Left us feeling sad.
Our love story, now a memory,
Of a love that once shone so bright,
The whispers of our hearts,
Now only a painful plight.
But I still hear those whispers,
Echoing in the silence,
A melody of love and pain,
A song of our lost romance.
And as I look back,
On the love that we once had,
I know that the whispers of our hearts,
Will never truly be sad.
For they remind me,
Of a love that was so true,
And though it may be gone,
It will always be a part of me and you.
So I'll cherish those whispers,
And the memories they bring,
Of a love that was once so beautiful,
And the joy it used to bring.
