The Well Of Darkness

Shores Of Wisdom

Darkness meanders towards me

Covering the whole of my heart

I sit patiently on the edge of starlight

Waiting to gather my scattered wishes

Dreams remain, calling me back

To the days I was complete

Before the brokenness

When darkness was only a mist

*

Random pieces of my soul, lost

Longing for repair

Shards of light, messages of truth

As daylight beckons

I find solace in the shadows

Rejection fuels the fear

I crawl deeper into the void

Wasted

*

Surely not

Reciprocity holds no value

Fishing for strength

From the shores of wisdom

I will be my rescue

Salvation is mine to award

No longer to relinquish peace

For another's rise
