The Weight of Time
📌 A reflection on how time rules us, until we learn to let go.

🕰️ The Weight of Time
I run, I chase, I reach, I fall,
Yet time just watches, unmoved by all.
The ticking hands, they pull, they strain,
A silent whisper, a quiet chain.
I gather minutes, hoard them tight,
Trade my days for restless nights.
A clock that mocks, a race unseen,
The past dissolves, the future gleams.
But time is neither friend nor foe,
It does not stop, it does not slow.
It neither punishes nor rewards,
It keeps its rhythm, it stays on course.
So why do I rush, why do I break?
Why fear the moments I cannot take?
For time is not a thing to win,
But a tide we float, a breath within.
So here I stand, no longer bound,
No longer lost in seconds drowned.
I breathe, I pause, I set time free,
For time was never chasing me.

Nice flow, Ahmet. I really like this bit "I gather minutes, hoard them tight, trade my days for restless nights." And the ending, "For time was never chasing me," is quite clever.
''Time was never chasing me... I was the one running.'' Nice message. 🌞
