A Reflection on the Pain that Shapes Us

Pain, a shadow on my wall

A constant presence, heard by all

A whisper soft, a scream so loud

A feeling that cannot be proud

********************************

With every step, with every fall

It follows close, through it all

A nagging voice that won't subside

A weight that's carried, deep inside

**********************************

But even pain can be a guide

A teacher of strength, a test of pride

For in its darkness, we find a spark

A light that flickers, a beacon in the dark

*************************************

So let the pain, be a part of me

A reminder of strength, in adversity

For though it hurts, though it's hard to bear

Pain can be a catalyst, for growth, for care.
