The Weight of Peace
Peace is heavier than war.
It asks for honesty, not victory.
It makes you sit with yourself,
and listen to the echoes you made.
I found peace once by accident.
It was in the sound of rain on tin,
the slow rhythm of nothing to prove.
I almost didn’t notice it arrive.
There’s no glory in being calm.
Only truth, and the pulse of time.
Peace does not need to be seen.
It just needs you to stop running.
Now I wear it like a quiet coat.
It fits better each year.
I think maybe that’s what growing is,
learning to carry peace without fear.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️
