The Weight of Loss

Miss You

By C. D. GuzmanPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

They were my refuge, my beacon of light, In the darkest moments, they held me tight. Saw

every bruise, heard every cry, Helped me find safety, taught me to fly.

Their death hit me like a ton of bricks, A cruel blow, a pain that sticks. The one who understood,

who was always there, Gone in an instant, leaving me in despair.

Without them, the world feels cold, A story half-told, a heart left unbold. Memories flood, and

tears freely flow, As I recall the times they helped me grow.

Their laughter, a melody now silenced, Their absence, a void, a profound violence. The strength

they gave, the hope they shared, Now shadows, in a heart laid bare.

I wish for one more moment, one more day, To thank them, to tell them, in every way, That their

love was my saving grace, In a world filled with a dark, cruel pace.

Now I stand alone, with this heavy heart, Each beat is a reminder that we’re apart. But in my

soul, their spirit lives on, A guiding light, even though they’re gone.

When my best friend passed away, my heart dropped. The world turned gray, all light suddenly

stopped. Their death hit me like a ton of bricks, A pain that lingers, a sorrow that sticks.

In the echoes of our shared past, I find strength, though the pain will last. For they were more than a friend, a guardian true, And their memory will guide me through.
