The Weight of 'If'...

Echoes of Lost Possibilities

By Sugan Ya Published about a year ago 1 min read

The Weight of 'If'

Whenever I hear 'if,'
it hits like a hammer,
a reminder of dreams crumpled up,
of paths left untread.

'If' is heavy, packed with potential,
moments unclaimed, like abandoned lottery tickets,
one word that drags a thousand regrets
through the mud of missed chances.

It echoes choices that slipped away,
futures that never showed up,
a haunting murmur in the corners of my mind,
a soft, relentless ache.

But 'if' isn’t just a ghost of sorrow,
it’s a dare, a challenge to rise,
to face each day with guts,
and let yesterday’s shadows fade.

So sure, 'if' can sting,
but it also pushes me to see
the raw beauty of now,
and the strength in living free...
