The Weight of Confession

The Burden of Secrets

By Tamseela FarooqPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

In the depths of our hearts,
Lies a burden that we bear,
A secret we keep within,
A weight we cannot share.

We hide behind our masks,
And put on a brave face,
But inside we're torn apart,
By the things we can't erase.

We carry the guilt and shame,
Of our past mistakes and sins,
And it seems like there's no escape,
From the prison that we're in.

But confession is the key,
To unlock the chains that bind,
To lift the heavy load,
And ease our troubled mind.

It takes courage to confess,
To admit what we've done wrong,
But the freedom it brings,
Is worth the struggle and the long.

So let us lay down our burden,
And release our secret pain,
For in confession we find healing,
And a chance to start again.
