The Weight of Being Human

Carrying Life's Weight

By PSYGENIUSPublished 12 months ago 1 min read

We wear our smiles like fragile glass,

Hiding cracks that no one asks.

Our hearts are maps of roads untold,

Carrying burdens we never unfold.

We chase the stars but fear the fall,

Dream of freedom, yet build a wall.

We're oceans deep, yet rivers dry,

Longing for meaning as years pass by.

The mirrors show the face we know,

But not the soul where shadows grow.

We judge the pain in another's eyes,

While drowning quietly in our own lies.

Yet in this weight, a beauty lies-

The courage to feel, to break, to rise.

For being human is both joy and ache,

A fleeting gift we cannot fake.
