The Weight I Bear
Finding strength beneath the crushing tide of inner struggles

The Weight I Bear
It’s not the world that weighs me down,
But thoughts that twist, that drag, that drown.
An anchor forged of fear and doubt,
I scream within, but can’t get out.
The mirror shows a face I know,
Yet foreign tides within me grow.
A fragile smile, a fleeting guise,
Conceals the storms behind my eyes.
I clutch at air, at fleeting peace,
But find no way to grant release.
The chaos swirls, a constant fight,
A restless shadow day and night.
*"Why can’t I let this burden fall?"*
I whisper to the endless wall.
But though I long to shed this pain,
I bear it still, its heavy chain.
Yet somewhere deep, a voice will rise,
Through fractured hope, through clouded skies.
*"This weight is yours, but not your fate—
You’re more than what you think you hate."*
So though the heaviness remains,
I’ll face the dark, I’ll break the chains.
And find the strength, in time, to see,
This weight is not the sum of me.
