The Weeping Child

Horror

By Francis C OkoroPublished about a year ago 1 min read
The Weeping Child

In the dark, a soft cry breaks the night,

Tiny sobs echo, filled with fright,

A shadow lurks in the corners,

Whispers haunt the empty room.

Eyes wide open, glistening tears,

Lost in the silence,

swallowed fears,

A lullaby fades,

hope drifts away,

No one hears,

Child’s play.
