The Weathered Compass

Lost at Sea

The compass spins, its needle lost and cold,

No north star guides me, in this story untold.

Waves of longing crash, upon the shores of despair,

A shipwreck of memories, forever etched there.

Your laughter, a distant lighthouse, fading from view,

Leaving me adrift, in a sea of endless blue.

The sails of hope hang limp, with tears for the breeze,

A love story unfinished, lost on restless seas.

Will dawn ever break, pierce the storm-filled night?

Can a new star ignite, and guide me back to the light?

Or will I forever wander, lost in this ocean's embrace,

A weathered compass, lost at sea, with no familiar place.
