The Way You Love

By Moriah King

By Moriah kingPublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I saw pictures of you with her, today.

I’m happy for you.

I’m happy that you have found someone.

As I looked through the pictures,

I studied her.

I saw how innocent she looks,

And I know that’s what you like about her.

She probably hasn’t been with many guys

So she won’t know what normal should be.

She’ll like the way you breathe heavy in her ear as you whisper to her,

While you graze your hands along her body.

She’ll like the way you show her off,

How you’ll always want to hold her hand.

She’ll like the way you hold her in bed,

How you can’t sleep without her.

She’ll notice how you point out her flaws,

Then tell her you don’t care about them.

You’ll make her feel unworthy of anyone else’s love, but yours.

She’ll notice how you’ll begin to degrade her way of thinking when she doesn’t think like you.

She’ll notice how you talk about your other options

Then tell her how special she should feel that you chose her.

And she will believe that she has found true love.

But she hasn’t.

It’s just the only way you know how to keep her.
