The Warmth, The Fire

Do you feel this too?

Among the cracks,

I see your sweet face,

Looking at me softly,

Imagining me in your embrace.

As I sit by the fire,

I feel your warmth,

Running through me,

And keeping me a float.

As I sit here,

In the comfort of my home,

I watch as you come closer to me,

As I seal the crack,

Not letting you in closer.

As I sit here in the comfort of my home,

No longer having you in sight,

But leaving you to my imagination,

I suddenly hear a loud bang...

You've come through,

Like you promised you would,

And in this same moment,

You grab my hand,

Hold me close to your body,

As we slow dance by the moonlight,

By the warmth of the fire,

The same fire that brought us here...
