The sinners are more worthy than the saints

When the lights fade, I feel most safe

When the low life wake

And the untrustworthy rest

That is when I can take a breath

The army marches from above

The army marches from below

It is the righteous that I trust

And the self-righteous that I fear

The war will rage on

No matter what side you choose to be on

Better to choose the side you can trust

The saints would have you believe

They are the ones whose motives are pure

While the sinners have never lied at all

You can attempt to refute this fact

But that simply shows your lack of insight

Not my lack of comprehension

The sinners are far more worthy than the saints

When the lights fade down, I feel most safe
