the never ending road

one in front of the other is the walk.

as your hope changes to a pick up and talk.

your mind sees the roads end, but your feet don't see an end to it all.

each new step is a new experience carrying a laborious freshness

as you study your next move.

A sigh relief screams from the road as your lobes reflect on the past news

that echoes in the air.

the sound of travel rolling down the road.

hope turns to faith as you turn and signal that this person is going to pick you up.

but low and behold as they get close they turn their blinker off.

through your eyes the sinking feeling grows.

only redemption is forgetting the ache of your sore little toes.

the only thing keeping you going is this never ending road.

why you might ask?

because the likeliness of what the future holds.

new sustenance, new being, something to embrace of value that you never had before.

so caught in you don't see the V.W. bug pull up next to and rolls down.

as you look your saving grace says;" this is a long road to go down by yourself, let me give you a lift."

"your not alone on this never ending road so get in and come with"

"Why not" that embrace as you ride off into the sunset.
