The Waiting Game
If silence is a waiting game it angers the victim bitterness will remain

The Waiting Game
He thought he could play the part,
A secret hidden in his heart.
A lie, a glance, a fleeting kiss,
Thinking none would ever miss.
But payback is a waiting game,
A word with his wife could set the flame.
The other woman’s patience grows,
Her silence sharp, the danger shows.
Time is on her hands, she’s in no hurry,
She’ll wait for the right moment,
There’s no need to hurry or worry.
One word, one call, and all is lost,
His world undone at such a cost.
For lies may slip and shadows creep,
But truth will rise from what we keep.
The waiting game will soon be played,
The price for betrayal must be paid.
If you hurt someone don’t think you won
The devil has a delay on his gun
One day a sudden shock a call a knock
When you hurt someone paybacks a shock

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

Great work and it sounds like planning revenge can be sweet at times especially if it is deserved. This is pure intensity.
