One hundred and nineteen votes.

three point two zero percent.

eight hundred twenty eight ballots cast.

Not bad for my first time running for council.

I must be honest.

I am tired.

I am glad the door is shut.

I can rest a bit more.

I am no fool there is lots of work to do.

The door to council is shut.

Yet, one hundred and nineteen

Native American Voters heard me.

Researchers often go unseen.

My work on council

is not needed.

All those voters saw this researcher.

What will be asked of me?

What will they need?

My work and research is for us.

What shall I focus on?

One hundred and nineteen

voters said,

"I trust you!"

I trust you to lead.
