Wrapped in the Embrace of the Night

The night falls, a velvet cloak

Wrapping the world in its embrace

The stars peek out, a cosmic joke

Twinkling in the infinite space

The moon rises, a ghostly glow

Illuminating the path ahead

The crickets sing, a soothing show

As the world settles in for bed

The wind whispers through the trees

A secret song of peace and rest

The streetlights cast a golden ease

As the city sinks into its nest

The night is a time of calm

A time to breathe and let go

A time to find some inner balm

And let the worries of the day go

So close your eyes and drift away

Into the magic of the night

Dream sweet dreams and let the day

Fade away into the light
