Oh soul, why wear the veil of night,
When knowledge shines with purest light?
Ignorance, a shadow vast,
That leads the heart to paths of blast.
The wise seek truth, they search, they seek,
While ignorance makes the foolish weak.
Through learning, hearts find their way,
In Allah’s light, they’ll never stray.
Oh Allah, remove this veil from me,
And grant me wisdom, pure and free.
For in the light of truth we stand,
Guided always by Your hand.
