I came from the dirty fields and green grass
To New York to be served on glass
Transported from Hong Kong to another nation
Seed pods filled in a different location
The name i used to go by is diploid
The seeds inside me happened to fill the void
Placed in salads or eaten raw
I look similar to a straw
My leaves are cooked with the pod
But they are often mistaken for a wad
Often used as a alternative to mocha
But i’m known as the plant called okra

I really like okra a lot especially pickled. Great work explaining this vegetable.
