Dinner is completed the dishes are washed

The house has been cleaned, and the laundry is done

The time has come for you to drift away

Into the setting evening sun

Leave the keys under the mat

After locking every door

Turn off the cell phone locator

It won't be needed anymore

Walk straight ahead

With a smile on your face

Knowing there will be no sign of you

Not even a small trace

A half mile away

Then walk a mile to the east

Where no one will think to look for you

Blend in with the community

Of those without homes

Who sleep on the hillsides

And daily must roam

Gather your thoughts

And clear your head

Nothing to fear

Not a thing to dread

Take all the time you need

Until you decide it's time to go back

This is your ticket out

Your vanishing act
