The Unspeakable Truth
You’ll give me silent treatment if I say this…
By Katya DuftPublished 6 months ago • 1 min read

Why can’t I cry if I am sad?
You deal with it; you are my friend
Why should I leave some things unsaid
Because you’re easy to offend?
We don’t agree on certain themes
I’m not obliged to change my mind
You laugh at my ambitious dreams
While I just need you to be kind
Sometimes I want to walk away
But we’ve been friends for way too long
I hope you maybe change one day
Or my delusions might be strong
