Unpolished,
still carrying scars that bleed
from cuts made years ago.
A selfish desire to feel special
without the grounding of faith or family
drains the soul
instead of filling it.
Life turns in circles
until growth is trapped beneath the surface.
Unbreakable chains stay locked
for those unwilling or unready
to turn lessons into change.
Self-sabotage is nothing more
than faith surrendered to fear.
Past damage will guide your future
if left buried—
so dig deep,
cut it from the root,
and watch it lose its grip.
To feel broken yet remain intact
is how the foundation is tested—
and how strength is proven.
Excuse your excuses.
Detach then from now.
Stay present.
