The unbreakable bond

A tale of true friendship

By Devi heenaPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Sophie and Emma have been best friends since kindergarten. They grew up living on the same street and doing everything together. They had sleepovers, played dress-up, and even went to the same dance classes. Over the years, they had their share of quarrels, but they always made up and became inseparable once again.

One summer, when they were both twelve, Sophie's family decided to move to another town. Emma was heartbroken. She couldn't imagine her life without Sophie. The last day before Sophie left, they made a pact to stay in touch no matter what.

Sophie moved away, but they kept in touch through letters, phone calls, and emails. They both joined social media and kept each other updated on their lives. They talked about everything, from their school crushes to their career aspirations.

Years passed, and they entered different universities, but their bond remained unbreakable. Whenever one of them faced a challenge, the other was there to provide a listening ear and words of encouragement. They grew up into two successful women, but their friendship was the most valuable thing in both their lives.

One day, Sophie got engaged and asked Emma to be her maid of honor. Emma was overjoyed. She couldn't wait to walk down the aisle with her best friend. On the wedding day, they both looked stunning, but their smiles were brighter than their dresses.

As they danced into the night, Sophie hugged Emma and whispered, "I couldn't have done it without you." Emma smiled and hugged her back, "I be there for you, my friend."

Their friendship has stood the test of time, distance, and life changes. It's a reminder that true friendship is not about how often you see each other, but how you deeply care for each other.
