I am a turtle cute and green,
I am here to sing,
Please do not get mean
I have a shiny shell,
It stores my things well,
When people are mean it is hard not to dwell
I crawl to get where I must go,
Never in a hurry,
Unless there is a foe
I like lettuce by the bowl,
It is my favorite,
I even eat it whole
Water keeps me from being dry,
Although it is hard to find,
The thought makes me try
In my shell I hide from dangers,
It is very dark in here,
I see no strangers
Now with a clear path,
To the sea I will dash,
Swimming all day free of trash
