The Tree That Hung Over The River's Edge

Today I took a walk down by the river,

And I sat on a tree that hung over the edge.

The ground beneath washed away with erosion,

But the roots running deep held the tree in it's place.

One day this tree is destined to fall,

Never again will I see it stand tall.

Until that day it refuse's it's fate,

It has planted it's roots to stay in one place.

It will not give up as it clings onto land,

And neither should you, with the world in your hand.

I went on a walk today and felt inspired by a tree that hung over the edge of the river, refusing to fall and drift away the tree held it's ground and stayed in it's place. It made me think of my life and my own personal struggles, the tree is falling into the river with no chance of ever standing as tall as it did before, yet it still won't give up. So why would I give up when I do have a chance at growing taller? I'm not hanging over a river waiting to fall, I still have a chance so I'll give it my all.
