For the first locomotive that set on a downward track
To roll coal with steam borrowing through the stack
It was the first movement toward the 20 century movement
For labor and hard work spent
To put shape to travel and shipment
Of a metal train that went up and down and all around the earth
For some say it gave worth to the hard work and dedication to build and gave birth
To a new way forward with a one way preparation
It gave us hope and transpired through vision and dedication
That that engine could
Keep chugging along down the tracks that interacts with memories that mold
This country together wish whatever came about its own history with a simple mission
To get forth to point A to B and even C down the wind of uncertain destination ahead
For some where different color rather painted all black or shared colors of any certain combination of red
For some say that history is but well drifted off or dead
But that vision still plays focus oldest operating railroad called the Strasburg that still moves and operates to this day
Gives a in time establishment of the memories that led the way
To a giving focus of history that still settles in the soul just right
Going down the tracks ether day or night
It still gives meaning through the horn that grips the one man locomotive light
To keep pushing down the tracked structure moving in any giving function to partake
Its beauty of a dream and focus to keep that spirit alive and just ride
The wind weather and function to be all at once glide
Motion that all begins with a station to gather its voyage and its demeanor
To be guided by the one and only conductor
To get to where they need to be down the miles that lead ahead the journey
That staple of moving forward will live on through eternity
Tracks and moving metal all held together but one to move and enlighten
The natural beauty of the ride forward to commence the view that heighten
All people that shared the same vision or sounds that transpired from back in the history of its time
Hearing the whistle blow just like in time it had its chime
And place to show its well brought out plan to keep moving and chugging along
Its the function and placement that gave way to us to belong
Somewhere down the tracks it reacts are own walks of life in anything that was ever brought are way
That locomotive was from the past life and still here to stay
In the hearts of many that lived that time that faced and gripped the nation
For its shining like shining time station
To keep chugging along our own story to keep a steady and narrow place
Some are stacked together and hold each other together case by case
For the steam leading the way borrowing down the tracks of will
To the wood and tracks that where made in a still
To place its face down the country side of any place laid out on the map
Its the signals lights crossings that led way with the conductors cap
To a place we all need to go and share are own story to be told
Through the magnified heat or shivering discomforting cold
It was to gather are dreams to be profound even if are outlook was untold
The only way I would ever be here writing this started with a train yard
To punch the ticket of a card
That would set forth a journey of my grandma that came from over the pound
From ship to railroad she took the necessary steps toward a dream to move on
From a country she knew and loved to a new walk of with new husband as she became the wife
She met my grandfather at a dance or a ball that changed her life
For 55 years they stayed together and had two children they called there own
One of them was my father that carried on
The tradition to stay flat footed with a mission to pass on the resilience my grandmother faced moving to another country all on her own
For her love for my grandfather had shown
Threw out the years they stayed together through that story she wept
Didn't have much food and did not even slept
They both meet again at the station where my grandfather picked her up from her downclock on what she faced on her way over here
For that love and commandment was brought together by writing through post cards that started with dear
John and Dear Josie
I loved that outlook on when they both shared there story
Of how through struggle they came together but from a boat and train
It will always be a memory engraved in my brain
Of a Voyage that keeps me nestled to any giving ride well spent
Of what was the 20th century movement of the trains transit
Sincerely Blake Robert
