The Tower of Silence

It’s oh so quiet, silence breaks the frozen words

The Tower of Silence

It stands alone, above the waste.

The tower black, against the sky.

Its walls are smooth, no door is seen.

Its crown is sharp, with frozen light.

The silence there, is thick and endless.

It drowns the birds, it kills the wind.

No echo comes, from any cry.

The tower drinks, all sound away.

Inside its walls, the void is deeper.

It folds and bends, around the soul.

No candle burns, no voice can stay.

The silence cuts, the silence binds.

And those who climb, will not return.

Their eyes grow blank, tongues are gone.

The tower stands, it never fades.

The silence rules, above the world.
