The Tornado with Shimmering Lights
a poem based on a dream
Running under the heavy rain,
Moving up to the mountain.
To reach the colorful tornado,
Like you are a desperado.
Up ahead are two pathways,
Confuse to choose which way.
Wide and narrow, which one is sorrow.
Left and right, where is the rainbow.
Colorful tornado with shimmering light,
Twirling around, what’s hindsight?
Chasing after to hold the tip,
But life is precious, don’t try to trip.
Rain has drenched, cold and heavy.
Phone in hand to capture it rightly.
But it’s suddenly gone like a popping bubble.
Your effort is wasted, and so, your struggle.
Another passage is now in sight,
Small and tiny, but this one is bright.
It is a seawall, thin and tall,
Big waves touching, afraid to fall.
The passage goes down to the water,
You walk slowly, worried you falter.
The waves hit you, out of balance,
You wake up, it's only a dream at a glance.
