The Thoughts I Never Finish
A poetic reflection on the silent thoughts that start to speak, but never quite finish.

They start like sparks behind my eyes,
Then drift like smoke across the skies
A sentence formed, but left half said,
A dream that tumbles back to bed
I try to hold them, line by line,
But they slip like sand through fragile time
A “what if” here, a “maybe” there,
Then silence settles in the air
They visit me at 2 a.m.,
Not loud, just soft — a secret hem
Of memory, regret, or grace,
But vanish when I try to trace
A voice I hear but never know,
A door I close before I go
So many truths that never land,
Left scribbled in a shaking hand
And still they live inside my chest,
Unspoken words that never rest
The thoughts I never dare to write,
But carry through each sleepless night
Thanks for reading ❤️❤️❤️❤️
