I collected the air between two stars

So you could have a breath of fresh air.

I walked down main street singing

Our favorite song to bring you a smile.

As a soldier covers a grenade,

I lay over a puddle to keep you strolling smoothly.

I lit my head a flame to lift

The stress and pain from your mind.

I stood in the rain naked to

Help your tears stop falling.

If I had to dream up the perfect

Woman, she wouldn’t compare to you.

I’d sacrifice my life if it

Meant you could have one last breath.

On death row, your kiss would

Be my last taste of life.

For you, I would do anything.

Anything to keep your skies blue,

Your heart pure, and mind at peace.

As for you, I don’t know.

But now you know what I would do.
