The thief of unseen hours

In the shadowed chambers of the mind, there lurks a silent thief,

Its fingers slender and unseen, tracing the edges of a future unformed.

It weaves a tapestry of whispers, dark and suffocating, draped upon the shoulders,

Of one who stands on the precipice of tomorrow, trembling in its cold embrace.

Each moment, like an unwatched clock, ticks with the weight of unspoken fears,

Its rhythmic beat echoing through the hollow corridors of thought.

A specter, poised with the cruel grace of inevitability, waits with bated breath,

Its presence an unseen shackle, chaining the soul to the dread of what may be.

If given sway, it will turn the vibrant world into a monochrome abyss,

Stripping the soul of the vibrant hues of now, replacing them with shades of unease.

The specter steals the spirit, leaving only a hollow shell, paralyzed by the anticipation,

A prisoner to a future that remains forever just out of reach.
