I had to throw this one into the mix for the #bookreviewhaiku challenge created by Judey Kalchik. I was one of the millions that were completely taken in by this and the rest of Castaneda's series. Truly a masterful work of fiction.

There was a time in my life when I read all of Castaneda's books. The Power of Silence was probably my favorite. Some friends of mine actually met him. I edited their interview before it was published. Originally in a print magazine, now online: https://www.seedsofunfolding.org/articles/features-list/56-the-freedom-of-don-juan.html Great haiku, by the way!
