The Tapestry of Now

Surviving the Cords of 2024

Above, the world awakens—sleepy but bright;

As 2024 unfolds its light,

Into a woven tapestry of yarns we thread,

In aspirations, in despair, and what we trust.

Not a long time ago, but the past is present

In every day, in every dawn—

A mingling of what once was,

Dreams so thick they buzz like bees.

The earth goes on turning with silent majesty,

Yet chaos defines its breakneck stride.

We are: apart, but intertwined,

As queries still swirl around us.

Where does it all leave us for the future?

The silence, what answers can it trust?

Because, in the noise, the truth is drowned out,

Still, we ache for it at all cost.

The streets are stories brash,

About hearts that break and hearts that retain,

Of warriors that fight out of our sight

Of those looking for peace and light

We browse and we search, and we tap and we share,

But who, exactly, are we, and are we there yet?

Do we know each other still?

Or only what we want to fill?

Whispered fears choke the air,

A sign of what years could hold,

Of options taken and roads we have gone,

Of the pledges left shattered, vibrating.

But for all the flaws we can see

But the world still dares to dream and to be—

To ache, to be filled with love, to reflect upon and gain knowledge from our failures.

And to rise again, and give it everything we have.

And amid it all, there is still a flicker,

Like a flame that burns bright in the dark;

The desire to heal, the sense of growing

To sow new seeds, to observe them sow.

The road is long and rough, but

Carrying the age-old song with us,

The hope that nothing is unreachable

When guided by a single star.

Breath hitches, and the planet spins with

As we face the tempest of death—

But also muster the will to battle,

To right the wrongs, to make right.

A world that has been torn by greed and fear,

Whispers now for a clear future,

Where even all might find a mutual grace,

Nor are human hearts wiped clean.

But how do we begin again,

When we are broken, bruised, and stretched thin?

Good thing the threads of life were transliterated into a form with no tears,

Yet want to be remade, to plait

Into something pure and true,

One that we all can replenish.

We need to reach out, we have got to start —

In 2024, we stand and wait—

Not for a miracle, but fate.

Every moment, every word we say is a choice

So we will be quiet to seek

A compassionate future, an intelligent future,

A place where no one is in pain, a place where there are no tears.

Where we as one, start to heal

They dealt with parts, the fostering hearts.

The sea level rises, the trees are down,

But there we are, hearing the call —

To become different, to evolve, to ascend

To cultivate a world of true love.

Not just in the big speeches, not just in the empty hands

Yet in the dirt, in moving grains

Where each voice has its own place,

And hearts can pass it, too.

The battles fought and the wars still rage→

But history, that is a shared line.

What will we write? What will we say?

Will we be brave? Will we delay?

The answer lies in each of us individually

To stand up, to talk, to make amends, to have faith.

Aleamp; shy; For tho the world is brake and Renne,

A fresh day dawns—fresh hope reborn.

Well then, let us sit with an open heart.

As 2024 imparts

It's lessons so tough, truths so but deep.

That in sowing the dreams we want to tend and grow.

For in the now do we find the key,

To unlock all we long to see—

A light at the end of his tunnel, a world coming back to life again

In every dusk, in every morn.

And while the road ahead is also untested,

We do not walk this road by ourselves, but together.

In service of this, the tapestry we create,

The entire plane of what we can believe.

So let us stand, and let us have the courage,

To love Building To take of Love,

Because in the red and white string that holds us together,

It is in our hands to put things right.

As cracks, as hurt,

Some of us find the strength to
