The Swarm
And a poem on metaphorical jellyfish
I want to drown in neon lights and faux wood,
Accents of silver and smooth black tiles.
I want it to look like an android lives there,
Patiently counting days until it can kill me.
.
I want to be stung by the essence of neon lights,
Of the foggy soul of a bleeding city at midnight.
I want the hoodie to be cheap and ground me
In the impossible place between here and there.
.
Unleash me, please, into a jellyfish swarm,
The kind that frightens the ocean into stillness.
Let me taste the electricity of their hatred.
Let me taste the crumbs of their rapture.
.
There would be no better place to die than stuck
Behind some one-way glass at the hands of my own
Creation that has learned its own little morality
Underneath the neon lights of judgment.

This brought back memories of being at the aquarium. And what a terrible fate it would be to be stung to death hordes of jellyfish. Neon Judgement 👍🏼
Wonderful!! My new favourite of yours!
Wow... this is venomous, painful, and thought provoking! Love this SD!!
