The Supreme Court
A philosophical poem about Time and the human spirit.

The Supreme Court
A human sits upon the throne, a gavel in their hand,
To judge "Ambition" and "Idleness" across the weary land.
They cry: "Because of you, my life has been cut short!
Who stole my existence? Answer to this court!"
"Idleness" just laughs: "The fault is yours alone!"
While "Ambition" weeps: "Your heart has turned to stone!"
The Judge erupts in fury: "Silence! Cease your strife!
Let Time arrive to settle the balance of my life!"
The doors swung open wide, the world began to shake,
There stood Time—proud, serene, with nothing at stake.
The human said: "Come, Time! Let the trial commence,
Who is the guilty one? Me, or these ghosts of old offense?"
Time smiled: "O, foolish soul, look within your gaze,
I am no judge of yours—I am but passing days.
Do not wound your spirit with a useless plea,
I have no time for humans; I am eternally free!"
If humanity seeks Time to be their final judge,
Unable to move forward, bearing every grudge.
If the fate of all creation is left in human hands—
How can it be that even Time... has no time for our demands?!
