The sun that shines day and night

The lights dimmed in the background playing tricks with my heart rate

The burning sun rises to meet the golden moon

While I sit alone, in this garden of dreams.

I was just fine until I saw your eyes.

And now my heart is breaking with every breath.

I felt your eyes on me,

Engulfing every part of me.

My skin rose to attention,

And that familiar heat crept up my neck.

The lights dimmed in the background playing tricks with my heart rate.

The lights turned off completely.

Nothing but darkness, and the light focused solely on you.

I couldn't tell if the heat beneath my skin was from the lights or you.

I still feel the gravity of your gaze on me.

I can see nothing but your twinkling eyes before me.

It's like you have always been there.

You broke my heart with your eyes,

Yet I'm ready for you to do it all over again.

I have lost all confidence to stand still

Will I be able to regain my confidence?

Or will my soul remain forever blue?

No matter what happens next, at least I know:

You broke my heart with your eyes,

Yet I'm ready for you to do it all over again.
