The street girl and the Poor Man

Both seeking a better life

The street girl and the Poor Man

She stands in the cold, her gaze to the ground,

A life of survival in silence profound.

Her hands, they have touched what no one should feel,

But in her heart, there’s a hunger for something real.

He walks with his head held low in defeat,

A coin in his pocket, but nothing to eat.

His world is a struggle, each day a long fight,

Yet he dreams of a future where things might be right.

They pass each other, two lives undefined,

Each carrying burdens, each lost in their mind.

She knows of the price that her body must pay,

He knows of the debts that keep him at bay.

But in their eyes, a shared kind of pain,

A longing for peace, a wish to break chains.

Two souls in the night, both seeking release,

One through her work, the other through peace.
