1

The stage is set

The actors take their place

The scene you will not forget

Such simple grace

2

The play is the story of two lovers

The curtains rise like a bloody knife

There stands two people filled with strife

One suffers from deep longing

The other is fine

One suffers from deep desires

The other is fine

One suffers from deep lacks

The other,

3

The other one is perfect

The other one has no needs

That the other cannot fill

She is perfect

4

As the show goes on

The two grow apart

The man to the woman is drawn

But she wishes only to depart

5

Can one blame her?

This man pushes and pushes

Thinking he knows best

But she is perfect

The woman fights and fights

Thinking she knows best

6

The show must go

And the man grows weary

The woman continues to grow

The separation makes him dreary

7

Can you blame him?

The woman runs and runs

Thinking she is right

But she is perfect

The man cries and cries

Thinking she is right,

For she is perfect

8

The show must end

But every story has its happy ending,

Even this one

She sees more than him

She sees his love that fills the theatre

He still sees her as he has always, perfect

They leave together as one, perfect

They end their life together, perfect

This is the story of our life
